What do you want from a copywriter?

By November 25, 2012No Comments

With democracy being the story of the day (albeit a nationwide case of severe low turnout), I’m canvassing opinion on what you actually want from a copywriter.

Once I know what people need, I can make sure we provide it. So it’s not a case of soul searching, more about concentrating effort in the right areas.

I’ve got five ideas to start with. Please get in touch to tell me what you actually want (email lesley@editingedge.co.uk):

  • someone with a clear head who’s good with words when you’re struggling with a brochure, proposal or website.
  • someone who can produce lots of relevant content (such as articles) to get targeted visitors to your website.
  • someone who can transform ramblings into persuasive prose.
  • someone who can take a first draft produced by several contributors and turn it into something that looks really good because it’s coherent and succinct.
  • someone who asks you the right questions to make sure everything’s covered.

That’s it. I look forward to your thoughts. Thank you.
