You’re here. Perfect.

I’m Lesley Hussell and my job is to bring some strategic copywriting to your business, so you sell more, inspire your staff or spread your message far and wide.

You’ll want to know how I measure up against other copywriters you’re considering, and whether I’m good enough to be trusted with your brand. If you’re looking for quick wit, creative thinking and a flair for compelling content writing, here are four reasons to hire me:

  • Rated in the top 1% of copywriters in the UK

  • 5-star approval scores

  • 30 years’ top-level media experience

  • 100% commitment – guaranteed

Fresh copywriting

With my Fleet Street track record (from the FT to The Sun, including five years foreign editing at the Daily Mail) I write happily in a range of styles and contexts, keeping content fresh and original. My analytical expertise comes from my days as a political editor in the House of Commons with daily briefings at 10 Downing St, so if your topic is a complex nut to crack, you can be confident I’m up to it. My love for language and critical thinking were polished during my history degree at Oxford University.

I can write with wicked humour or with gravitas when occasion demands (for the House of Lords, for example). And I never, ever miss a deadline. I’m based where Hampshire borders West Sussex and Surrey, but work from London to Manchester, Edinburgh to Cardiff, Paris to Dubai.

I’d love to talk to you, so call me today … (A bit louder, please.)

For literary and scholarly briefs, there is no one better than my colleague Clio Mitchell.

I’m Clio Mitchell, and I will be happy to help you ensure that your words convey your meaning clearly, elegantly and stylishly.

With 25 years of writing and editing experience, typically for upmarket and intellectual publications, and a scholarly background (I have a PhD in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art, University of London), I am especially familiar with formally constructed English, and draconian about the need to ensure that the reader can clearly follow the development of the writer’s ideas. No indigestible gobbledegook or officialese survives my attentions, and jargon and over-wordiness, or flights of incoherent fantasy, will similarly be tamed, rendered into clear and lucid English (unless you specifically wish them to be incoherent, of course).
