Press coverage is a great way to get free publicity for your business, but you need to have an angle that will attract the eye of the publication’s editor – and its readers.


We worked with our client Emma Teasdale to develop not just one but three good angles when she launched her business as The Havant Diet Coach.


First, our press release highlighted how September is the perfect time to begin a diet after overdoing things over the summer. Emma came up with 5 Diet Tips to get readers off on the right track.


Second, we told how Emma is the only 1:1 diet coach in the area, offering private sessions that avoid the embarrassment of group weigh-ins, along with personalised diet plans.


Third, Emma had a compelling personal story to relate about her battle with her weight after the birth of her first child and her success in losing 5st in the hope of having another baby.


The result was a significant feature this week in The News, the daily newspaper for Portsmouth and the wider area, which has already brought Emma new clients.
