Working again with event organisers Pear & Ginger we were asked to compile a programme to accompany the St George Foundation Gala Dinner and Auction.

The major fund raising dinner was held in the beautiful surroundings of Romsey Abbey to raise vital funds to relieve poverty and sickness and advance the education of homeless children aged 5 to 15 in Sierra Leone.

This event was established to focused on the final Ebola victims that still need help and those children on the street who need rescuing.  It was even more poignant as the Foundation remembered a long standing staff member and his wife who lost their own lives to Ebola.  Augustin worked tirelessly to help children orphaned by the disease.  His death and the work of the charity during the Ebola outbreak was covered substantially by BBC news.

The Problem:  An emotionally charged night needed an emotive, powerful programme to persuade guests to part with their money.  We had to tell the story of the charity and provide persuasive descriptions of the auction lots sent in by donors. It needed a consistent voice, precise editing for length, attention to detail and flowing copy.

The Answer:  We worked again event organisers Pear and Ginger to create a captivating programme for the night.

The Result:  The programme eloquently covered the history of the charity and on-going initiatives putting across the integrity and hard work of the charity.  The captivating descriptions of the auction lots all helped to persuade guests to donate generously to the cause on the night.

Thank you for the tremendous support you provided to the St George Foundation dinner and auction on Friday at Romsey Abbey. Overall we raised an incredible £32,813. Thank you for being a great copywriter and as ever we were delighted to partner with and are already looking forward to the next event together.
